NSAI Manual for Conformity of Production (CoP)
Manual published by NSAI, in its capacity as the Irish Type Approval Authority, which outlines the applicable regulatory framework and the role of the authority within the type-approval procedures. The document describes manufacturers’ obligations regarding Conformity of Production (CoP), the assessments carried out by NSAI during the initial assessment phase and during series production, as well as the possible consequences in the event of non-compliance with the requirements, including the voluntary or forced withdrawal of the type-approval.

Application form for the manufacturer’s initial assessment
Application form for the initial assessment of the manufacturer. It contains sections to be completed with the manufacturer’s name and address, the name and address of the production site and the information on the manufacturer’s representative.
The applicant must specify the EU/UNECE regulations for which approval is sought from NSAI. These will be the subject of the initial assessment carried out by NSAI in order to ensure that the correct checks and inspections are performed in relation to the Conformity of Production (CoP) requirements applicable to the requested approval.
The form also contains the necessary declarations that the manufacturer must provide to ensure compliance with its CoP obligations.
