Accreditation

Accreditation is the process by which a recognised body formally attests the competence of an organisation or person to carry out specific tasks. The accreditation of Certification Bodies is intended to ensure their competence and, as a result, to ensure the value and credibility of the certificates they issue.

Thanks to the participation of national accreditation bodies in international organisations (at European level EA – European Cooperation for Accreditation and at international level IAF – International Accreditation Forum) and to the signature of Multilateral Agreements (MLA) managed by these organisations, certificates issued by accredited bodies are reliable, credible and widely accepted and recognised on the international market.

The Mutual Recognition Agreements and Multilateral Agreements ensure the equivalence on the market of certifications, inspections, assessments, tests and calibrations carried out by accredited bodies and laboratories, thus facilitating the free movement of goods and services on international markets.

Our organisation, FAKT Certification Services, is a Certification Body recognised at international level and is accredited in various sectors and sub-sectors (IAF sectors) by:

  • ACCREDIA – the Italian National Accreditation Body, for the issue of certificates in accordance with the EN ISO 9001 standard.

For all accreditation activities, ACCREDIA is a signatory to the following agreements:

The IAF MLA agreements, in addition to the main accredited activities (main scopes), also cover the sub scopes of accreditation, which can be verified directly on the IAF website.

Designation

Designation is a governmental authorisation granted to a conformity assessment body to perform specified conformity assessment activities. The designation of Certification Bodies is intended to ensure their competence and the adequacy of the related procedures.

Our organisation, FAKT Certification Services, is a Certification Body recognised at international level and is designated as a Category C Technical Service by:

  • Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA), to autonomously perform assessments relating to the fulfilment of the requirements relevant for approval (ARR) of quality management systems based on the international standard EN ISO 9001 or on the KBA procedure “CoP-Report”, and to carry out verifications (Verifizierung) based on the guideline for verification processes (431-A-3.11).
