We are designated by the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) as a Certification Body.

FAKT Certification Services S.r.l. is designated by the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) in the legally regulated field and is therefore authorised to independently perform certifications and other assessments relating to the fulfilment of the requirements relevant for approval (ARR) of quality management systems, on the basis of the international standard EN ISO 9001+ARR or the KBA procedure “CoP-Report”, for manufacturers of vehicles, systems, components and independent technical entities, where the scope is associated with UNECE, EU or German national road traffic legislation.

The main legal acts and regulations for which FAKT Certification Services is designated as a Category C Technical Service are listed below:

• Agreement of 20 March 1958 concerning the adoption of uniform technical prescriptions for wheeled vehicles, equipment and parts and the conditions for reciprocal recognition of approvals (1958 Agreement – UNECE Regulations)
• Regulation (EU) 2018/858 on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles
• Regulation (EU) No 167/2013 on the approval and market surveillance of agricultural and forestry vehicles
• Regulation (EU) No 168/2013 on the approval and market surveillance of two- or three-wheel vehicles and quadricycles
• the StVZO (German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations) and other German national legal acts

FAKT Certification Services S.r.l. has also demonstrated that the certification body is competent to perform verifications (Verifizierungen) of quality management and quality assurance systems in the production of vehicle parts for which parts approvals (Teilegutachten) have been issued in accordance with § 19 StVZO in conjunction with Annex XIX of the StVZO (copy of the related KBA Confirmation).
